Hecate

Remains of a classical period shrine to the goddess Hecate were found in 41 Gospodar Jevremova Street. Today, the architrave with an inscription in Latin is part of the National Museum’s Collection of Roman and Medieval Epigraphic and Anepigraphic monuments.

Augmented reality of Hekate users of the hologram mob app have been enabled to interact with  the goddess of ghosts, infernal spirits, the dead and sorcery, a demonic being connected to the underworld. She holds the keys to the gates of Hades – the door to the underworld, and has the power to return the souls of the dead to the realm of the living. During the Roman period in the area around the flow of the river Danube, Hecate was often identified with Diane, the protector of silver mines.
